One of our favorite games of the year also happens to sport our favorite soundtrack of 2018! We sample a handful of tunes from this 8-bit homage while discussing the game’s themes, design and excellent use of new-game-plussery.

Twenty-Rockteen…an entire year of Smash Ultimate episodes!
Ah its been ages since I’ve been able to listen to any podcasts so it’s nice to get back in to it with some VGMPire. Unfortunately my old method of using iTunes is no longer tenable. Is there any way that VGMpire will becoming to Spotify sometime in future? Also after hearing this I NEED to put more time in to Curse of the Moon. I got it free as part of Xbox Live but I’ve sadly neglected it for the most part. Hearing the composers that worked on this its no surprise that it sounds like it could be an NES Swansomg from an alternate timeline.
So, I’ve lost track of the number of games I’ve picked up after hearing them featured on this show. This is definitely gonna be the next one though. That Sunder the Night track got me hooked! Thanks and keep up the great work, man!
