  1. Better late than never!

  2. Hooo Boy! Thanks for keeping us fed, Elston!

  3. I was hoping for a three hour episode but this will do. 🙂

  4. Oh man! It’s been too long. Now I’m interested in hearing more from The Messenger.
[Been waiting until I have more time to play it before I get that game]

  5. Oh YES! A new vgmpire!!

  6. Great choices, Brett! Rainbowdragoneyes, composer of The Messenger is an acquaintance of mine in Denver! Super cool guy, and was even a one time drummer for The Protomen!

And boy, I really have no choice now, I REALLY need to play Monster Boy.

  7. btw, that Yours Forever / All Connected song from Tetris Effect isn’t relaxing for me.

When that debut trailer came out, I was home with my sickly old dog at the time. We knew the time was fast approaching when we would have to say goodbye to her forever.

When I hear that song, I think of that last summer when she was still alive. I think about how optimistic and naïve the lyrics to the song are. As if to reassure me she was going to a better place. As if, somehow, the song was sung from her perspective to her skeptical aetheist dad.

Suffice to say, it’s a really sad song for me. Makes me weepy every time I hear it. I know it’s not supposed to be like that, and maybe years from now when I hear this song I’ll be immune to the sadness.

Not sure why I felt the need to share.

    • Totally understand! First time i heard it, I had a mix of happy/sad for sure, and that was without any direct moment to tie it to. Could definitely see this song moving you in that way. We also had to say goodbye to a beloved dog last year so I feel your pain… but she lived a long happy life!

  8. I’ve been listening to vgmpire and laser time since I was 13-14 years old, so its pretty crazy to hear that its been going since 2011 too. I’m 19 now and still love the show, keep up the great work.

  9. Great episode!! So much great music to dig in here!
You guys will have to have me on to do a Point’n’click themed Rocktober one of these days. 😉 Monkey Island, Deponia, Primordia, Botanicula, tons of potential there!

  10. Just when I was beginning to lose hope… you guys finally come out with another episode! I gotta say that I recently played through Mega Man 11 and I was very disappointed by the music. Thanks to you guys I will go ahead and put on some of it and give it another chance. All in all though, great picks. Always a fun listen.

  11. “13 Sentinels Aegis Rim” is technically not out yet, but it has a cool soundtrack reminiscent of Ghost In The Shell: SAC and anime sci fi. 🙂
